About Pieter

My name is Pieter Plooy and I am from the Gold Coast Australia, my job is a Special Effects Technician, most people call me Clog. I was born in Holland (hence the nickname) and lived most of my younger life in Newcastle (NSW).

My Photography Passion

My life has always revolved around the water in one way or another. I have ridden surfboards since I was 11 years old up until recently when I began Stand Up Paddlesurfing.

My love of the water has led me into my other passion – water photography – and now as an avid photographer I have the opportunity to photograph: World Class Kitesurfers, Stand-up Paddle Surfers, and Surfers.

My photographs have been published in the Australian Kiteboarder, the Worldwide Wind Surfing and Kitesurfing Guide (for release in Australia February 2010), Surf & Sail Standup Journal and the Photo Annual (for release in Australia 6th February 2010)
